Iron-On (Heat-Seal Adhesive Film)

Iron-on backings use a heat-activated adhesive film layer. When pressed under heat and pressure according to garment and backing instructions, the adhesive bonds into fabric fibers.

Always check fabric heat tolerance before applying, and follow supplier application guidelines. For garments subject to frequent friction or heavy laundering, adding perimeter stitching provides extra reinforcement.

Sew-On (Stitched Mechanical Attachment)

Sew-on is a traditional mechanical attachment method where needle and thread stitch directly through the patch border into the fabric.

Because thread does not rely on heat adhesives, stitching remains anchored through regular wear and washing.

Hook-and-Loop (Removable Fastening)

Hook-and-loop fastening features male hook backing on the patch that connects with matching loop material on your garment or gear.

Confirm whether hook backing and matching loop pieces are included in your quote.

Adhesive, Peel & Stick, and Magnetic Options

Temporary adhesive backings offer quick peel-and-stick placement for events without heat.

Magnetic attachments use magnetic plates for badge placement where pin or needle holes are undesirable.
